As the hot breezes of summer turn into the cool winds of autumn, it signals the start
of a new school year. As the doors to our own school open this week, we wish all
students from preschool to graduate school, an exciting, challenging school year!

Pope Benedict XVI has decreed June 29, 2008 to June 29, 2009 as the Year of St. Paul, commemorating the 2000 anniversary of the Saint’s birth. Eucharistic Adoration for the Year of St. Paul in the diocese of Pittsburgh will take place in parishes throughout the year. Eucharistic Adoration will take place at St. Rosalia Parish on October 6, 2008 and January 1, 2009.

RCIA- Each year at this time, we place this notice in our parish bulletin, announcing plans for the start of our R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program. We are again looking forward to September when we hope to greet new inquirers. Our team has been praying that, led by the Holy Spirit, a new group will join us to find out just what the Catholic Church offers to us all. If someone in your life has shown curiosity about our faith, invite them to come to St. Rosalia’s on Wednesday evenings beginning September 10th. Come yourself too if you have questions. No dues, just come as you are. Come for one session, a few sessions or every session. Questions? Call the rectory at 412-421-5766 and a team member will contact you.
